My name is Dr Ranjit Mahanta and I am a consultant psychiatrist based in Kent and Sussex. My website aims to be helpful and informative to prospective patients seeking high quality private psychiatry consultation in the South East of England.

My philosophy is to provide an honest, responsive and personal service of the highest professional quality that is holistic, and evidence based.
I offer a dedicated medical service specialising in mental health primarily for older adults. Typically these are patients aged 50 years and above. Focusing on pathology, but also recognising the importance of psychological wellbeing as individuals reach later life.

REFERRALS
I am registered with all major private medical insurers
I welcome enquires from any source, whether you're seeking to make a self-referral or making enquiries for a family member. The majority of my referrals come from General Practice, and ordinarily I would ask you to contact your GP to initiate a referral. I accept patients self-funding and those seeking to go through their private medical insurer. Please make contact if you would like to discuss a referral further, my office would be happy to help.
